(Summary description)How does the Pos machine work? The integrated terminal is connected with the EPOS software, so when you enter the product on the screen and choose the card payment, the central software sends the transaction amount to the card terminal. Then, the card machine usually lights up and automatically displays the total payment, prompting the customer to pay (or add a reminder if the setting is turned on). You don't have to manually enter anything on the terminal in this way. As with stand-alone terminals, the integrated machine processes payments via telephone lines or the Internet and prints receipts (if applicable).

The system usually has a touch screen display with a visual interface for entering the products sold and the given payment amount. When you accept cash, you usually enter the amount given by the customer in cash, and then the POS software will calculate the amount due to the customer. At this time, you should deposit the received cash in the cash drawer and collect the expired coins and banknotes from the cash drawer in order to give back to the customer and make the payment amount correct.
The independent card terminal is independent of the POS software or cash register for registering transactions. There is no communication between the standalone terminal and the rest of the POS system. This means that when you record items to be sold on the standby screen or cash register, you must enter the total amount on the card machine keyboard. The terminal will then contact the card issuer, merchant bank and other institutions to approve the transaction. Once approved, it will print the receipt, and if it has a built-in printer, or a beep or message on the display, it indicates that the payment is normal.
